jpunt is about developing cool things, and doing it the right way. Mostly working on websites, both frontend and backend, and always looking for nerdy new things to play around with. Lately this comes down to HTML, CSS, JS and Ruby on Rails, but this could change as time goes by.
My main focus is to create interesting products that work in an awesome way, aimed at the future of the web and according to standards/best practices.
Note: I'm not interested in making banners and other crap that make the web worse.
My name is Jasper Haggenburg, 26 years old, and I'm living in Amsterdam. I've been educated by the HKU, where I've studied Digital Media Design. I've learned my actual programming with books and Google, but not everything could be teached through bits and bytes I guess.
Besides nerding out... I love large cities, travel, weird people, and a wide range of music and movies. You know, the usual I guess.
Note: I am Dutch, but the web is bigger than the Netherlands alone.
No, this is not a glitch in the Matrix. I've actually rewritten my website. This time it's designed by Revolving, who did an awesome job. Cool to finally have this made by someone who's actually a designer.
One of the things I'd like to point out is that this version is responsive. This means that it scales and the layout will adapt automatically, depending on the size of the browser. Change your window to check this out. Of course this means that iPhones and iPads (but - in theory - also devices on android, wp7, etc) will get the optimized layout, without clicking on "mobile version", redirecting to a mobile-subdomain or any other crappy solution. This should work on any modern browser, and older browsers will be taken care of as well.
